What’s more important than your weight? Almost everything. Yet how often do you let that number on the scale dictate how your day (or your life) is going to go? That’s a lot of power you’ve relinquished. If the bathroom scale is being used as ONE measurable indicator of progress toward your goals, great. If that number is used as a big stick to beat yourself, that’s abuse. Today is a brand new day, a new beginning! It is time to reclaim or reshape your life by 1) stepping into the process of emotional clearing, 2) raising your awareness of who you are and what “works” for you, and 3) making powerful choices that bring you results that inspire and motivate you to consistently take care of yourself and see yourself as the beautiful, valuable, creative and resourceful woman you are!

How often do you gather with like-minded women to have real conversations about your feelings about your body, your relationship with food, and how to strengthen, elevate and celebrate them? No matter what that number is on the bathroom scale, who are the people with whom you can freely speak your mind, be yourself, and think out loud without the fear of being judged or silently criticized? You do not have to be perfect; you just need a place where you can be real. Then you can share your experiences and lessons, and learn from and be inspired by other  “sojourners” walking the path of freedom, self-empowerment, and self-reliance. Your feelings about food and how you feel in your skin translate powerfully into how you feel about yourself. This emotional and mental “imprint” governs many of your choices and determines whether you experience joy, self-confidence, or lovability, and to what degree. So you could smash that scale with a hammer, throw it in the trash, or use it as an instrument to measure one facet of progress toward a specified goal. It’s not the number that dictates happiness or sadness; it’s the power you give it that makes the difference!
